Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Touch-Up and Thermal Press.

Appointments typically take 60–90 minutes depending on root amount, hair length, and desired finish. We include consultation, color application, processing, and a thermal press for smooth styling. Exact time is confirmed when booking to fit your hair needs.

If you’ve recently had a full color, wait at least one to two weeks before a touch-up to allow the color to settle. For regular regrowth, schedule touch-ups when roots show or every 4–8 weeks; we'll advise during consultation.

When applied by our professionals, root touch-ups are formulated to match your existing shade so tone remains consistent. Thermal pressing is a styling step; used properly it won't strip color. We recommend color-safe products and maintenance to protect vibrancy.

Frequency depends on hair growth, color type, and personal preference. Most clients return every four to eight weeks for root maintenance; thermal press can be added each visit. We'll create a personalized schedule to keep your look seamless and fresh.

Minor tone adjustments during a touch-up are possible, but major color changes need a full-color service and consultation. We’ll assess hair health, desired outcome, and recommend the best approach to achieve your new color safely and effectively.

Use sulfate-free, color-safe shampoos and conditioners, limit washing, apply heat protectant before styling, and schedule regular deep-conditioning treatments. Avoid harsh at-home chemical services and follow stylist recommendations to prolong color life and the smooth thermal-pressed finish.
